Called to move some pipes. One is gas. 30m 28mm. Ecotec 656 boiler. Obviously undersized. Ran checks to see how was performing. 17mb at boiler with hob on. Just in tolerances of vaillant mis. Only 17mb however as standing 28mbar.

Gas rate erratic as boiler modulating i think even on low loss header with call for heat and p1. I say this as i got four different results. The last being 65kw.
Vaillant technical said they only allow 4 mb drop from standing to working at boiler.

At risked and said she should get them back to redo. Only did it last year and obviously couldnt be bothered with the expense of running new gas.

Prv returned to the condense below a hep non return. No tundish

Gonna ring them today to talk it through.
Shes emailed the at risk form so theyve got all my details which is a shame as i didnt get anything from the situation.

Is this commercial?

Domestic, the standing pressure means nothing, what you want to know is the working pressure at the meter (21+/-2) and the pressure on the inlet

Ive realised i shouldve posted it without what i did as it sounds like i want affirmation for my actions. I'm more interested in how other people view different situations and what actions they would take as everyone is sometimes so different in what they think and do in these situations.

IDCHAPPY I did At Risk it to cover my arse and also because it gave more gravitas to the fact that the gas needed upsizing for the client. Else theyd have had to pay for me to do it.
Which actually would have made more economic sense for me.

GasmanxxxR1 it is commercial. I needed to check whether the boiler could run ok before i merely moved the pipe rather than upgrading it. It was right on the limit of not so in my view with a pressure drop from the supplier it could have been outside the MIs. Is that inherently dangerous for a room sealed appliance with multiple safety controls? Is questionable i think but Im open to being corrected.
The boiler would be out of warranty etc but not sure about dangerous. Hence asking what people thought.
