Does anyone out there have experience of a water CONDITIONER - I don't want a water softener installed and I wondered if these really work or just a gimmick?

I would appreciate any information/reviews from either owners or plumbers please.

The only one which I would would recommend is Aquabion they do work but are expensive and need replacing after 7 years use , but if you factor in the cost of a salt softener and buying salt then it's a cheaper option over the 7 year period . Regards kop 👍😉
