Hello I’ve recently started an electrical apprenticeship was just wondering if I’ve made the right choice between that and doing gas in terms of money in the future and job opportunities, thank you

With government making a push towards heatpumps, EVs and probably a higher demand for air conditioning Electrical skills will always be in demand; however there will be a demand for gas qualified plumbers for a long time yet. You can always establish yourself in one field then branch into another with education and training. There's a lot of crossover between the disciplines anyway.

Would that be a viable option to get into both also is there much of a pay difference between a spark and gas engineer

We all need to make a choice of how we will earn a living and what trade training is needed to learn to be able to work in the chosen profession, either electrical or gas will give you a good income once your qualified, what you need to decide is what trade interests you most? you will be spending years doing the chosen profession so you need to be happy in doing the job you can always do both if your willing to dedicate yourself to learning .
