Bathroom sink help with tap?

The 2 brass fittings are 15mm x 1/2” couplers

So no ptfe or joining putty at all?.

Every engineer has his/her ways. But have never done it that way.

I wasn’t clear enough in my post then was I mate? Just read it back. It’s been a long day.

But the tap tails don't reach the first 2 adapters... Hence why I needed more copper pipe

I think it should be fine with the way I have it as long as I "don't" use PTFE for the olive/threads and tighten well?

But unfortunately you didn’t tell us that. We gave you the information to the question you asked which was to connect the flexi pipes onto 15mm pipe. Not connect 15mm to 15mm.

Not without a connector that is 15mm compression both ends. Either a coupler or isolation valve

I.e. I didn't realise the taps wouldn't reach... 🙁

to be fair you didnt say you were extending the pipes just the flexis wont fit the old male irons

I have only been plumbing for around 13 years but I have never had to put PTFE on a compression fitting.

Slightly less time than me but knows more 🙁😳
