Every engineer has his/her ways. But have never done it that way.So no ptfe or joining putty at all?.
I wasn’t clear enough in my post then was I mate? Just read it back. It’s been a long day.wrong fittings on the bottom need couplings and not male irons
But you have 4 not 2But I did what everyone said. On the first page told to buy 2 of those adapters... Now people are saying no???? I don't want to go without water again today cos Screwfix are now shut 🙁
But unfortunately you didn’t tell us that. We gave you the information to the question you asked which was to connect the flexi pipes onto 15mm pipe. Not connect 15mm to 15mm.But the tap tails don't reach the first 2 adapters... Hence why I needed more copper pipe
I.e. I didn't realise the taps wouldn't reach... 🙁But unfortunately you didn’t tell us that. We gave you the information to the question you asked which was to connect the flexi pipes onto 15mm pipe. Not connect 15mm to 15mm.
Change them for these.
I have only been plumbing for around 13 years but I have never had to put PTFE on a compression fitting.
Cheers mate. Your not doing to badly are you? Bit cheesy but I tell myself every morning that, everyday is a school day. Don’t think that there has ever been a day when I haven’t learnt something new.Slightly less time than me but knows more 🙁😳
