What's the usual cause of this fault number? The boilers about six years old.

normally knacked electrodes,low gas pressures or no gas ,bear in mind its critical theres 19 mb going in and not dropping to 0 on demand,tells you strait away govoners shot

Ill put a fiver on gv, I reckon it would still light momentarily with wonky electrodes. I think that fault would be occasional lock out.
Did I forget to mention it won't light at all?

I had a e133 a few weeks back......customer ended up having to have their drive dug up for a new gas service!!

I've had the electrodes so warped that there was no spark gap at all.

Usually if you have warped electrodes if it eventually lights it's usually followed by a Big Bang!

Electrodes are most common and easiest to check and replace. You can heat them up, bend them back and check the boiler is working before you order new ones or start to look for other faults. So definitely start there.

Gas valves are generally very reliable. Check your inlet pressure and make sure it drops slightly during ignition. If it's above 18 mbar, you could also look at your gas valve setting. Try lighting the boiler with the casing off. A cracked flue would also cause this code if it's really bad, but normally only happens on vertical flues.

If the ignitor is faulty you can check that by hanging the electrodes out the front of the boiler, turn the gas off and let the boiler go through ignition. You should see a nice blue spark.
