Baxi platinum boiler stat knob

Not doing so much work these days but came across a platinum where the boiler heating stat was on full.
Yet I noticed on max the boiler stat was only reading 30 on full . Owner had thought it wasn't getting that hot at the rads. I always recalled the boiler stat could be turned on max and red digi display would read 80.
Any thoughts ?

I checked that and that is fine , its not weather comp either ,
Cant understand why it only reads 30 on max

Hot water has no issues at all ,
Only issue is the boiler stat on max reads 30 and rads dont pump out much heat

Hot water was about 55 if i recall , i did hear that if i switch back and forth the boiler stat quick it will correct it as in disabled mode?
Cant say ever heard of that before but will retry this week
