I live in a 2 bed victorian house with one bathroom, (separate shower and separate bath) and 3 rooms downstairs (lounge, dining room and kitchen). Flow rate of water at the house is 18 litres per minute at around 17.25 in the afternoon so near peak time with a 4 bar pressure rating. I have chosen to go for either a Vaillant Eco Tec Plus or a Vaillant Eco Tec Exclusive. The reason I have chosen to go with a Vaillant is because I want to include a water softener into my system and Vaillants have two stainless steel heat exchangers.

Would someone be kinder enough to tell me which model of Vaillant of boiler I should go for. This information would be very handy to know before a plumber comes in and tells me which one! Just so I know he is right i suppose. Always thought that I would want a powerful model so hot water is ready at all times as the boiler will be in the loft.

Thanks!

I'm not entirely sure why Vaillant persist with the Exclusive. Last year Exclusive accounted for less than one quarter of one percent of all our Vaillant boiler sales. Not worth the ink it takes to print it in the pricelist.

I guess they must sell them somewhere, maybe on specification? Ecotec Plus, however, is one of the best selling ranges in the country, and would be on my shortlist if I wanted a new boiler.

I have never fitted an exclusive, and tbh, I don't know why I would, as I have no idea what the advantages are over a plus! Not the foggiest - wasnt even explained on the Vaillant sales da.... I mean, training day.

It looks like I may have 4 models to choose from the Vaillant Ecotec Plus Range:

Ecotec Plus 824Ng Combi
Ecotec Plus 831Ng Combi
Ecotec Plus 837Ng Combi
Ecotec Plus 937He Storage Combi

The house has 8 radiators and one bathroom. Are any of the above overkill?
