Hard times for installers if they're selling the bits of the old boilers they're taking out!!! LOL .... Seriously, I know of a shop in S/Shields, up here in the cold part of blighty, set up by an istaller who trades old parts off the boilers he removes!
Do I see lights 'pinging' on some of you?? LOL

there were once loads around in wales cheap,fairly reliable but now a very old boiler the mk1 is now quite a heap its replacement the a23 is in the same boat,very domestic boiler have a few in the garage pending strip down and scrap bin

Well they never made it as far north as Newcastle! .. Not my neck of the woods anyhoo's appart from commercial! lol Interesting how certain manufacturers are favoured in different area's ...

As said not many new aristons about now,thought it was to do with them changing agents here and turned out to be a big mistake,they are back with their old agents now and planning a come back
To be fair,there boiler range,if you look ,is not bad and if the older boiler were set up right,they worked ok,trouble was to many builders stuck them on the wall and plugged in.
There main problem now is street cred,not the boilers ,I would not dream of suggesting one in a quotation now,not as said because of the boiler but because think it is linked to cowboys now,wrongly or rightly
as a boiler,I rate it in top half of the boiler list
I look after a few old and new and give no problems

i once fitted nothing but ariston,the microgenus mk1 was ok,things went down hill with the mk2 and got desperate with the aco and microgenus he on the plus side seen so many faults i can fix them blindfolded

They used to break down enough to keep you busy but not enough for the customer to blame you,just as it should be some may say
