New Build and looking for a boiler. Ive been offered a new Vaillant 425 very cheap and its the right KW etc but its described as "open vent boiler" Can they still be used on a pressurised system? We are needing it to heat an unvented cylinder and our wet UFH.

Any body familiar with the make and model? My plumber doesn't want to say, he'd rather I just bought a new Bosch.

Most if not all new OV boilers can be sealed, why did your old one need to be replaced?

Its a new build so there wasnt an old one. Our plumber also said he's never heard of one that cant be plumbed as sealed but the description of the boiler is open vent so would like to no for sure before I purchase.

Is it still cheaper when you add on all the items needed to use on a sealed system?

Yes as we have new expansion vessels etc already and the boiler with flue is only costing £400. Reason for heat only is for ease of future maintainance
