Replacing elderly Brittony 11T multipoints,I have three bathrooms ,two kitchens (heating by baxi wallheaters, preferable to the cost of central heating options). I have three options replace with the main multipoints ,refurbish the two ageing Brittony or replace withtwo condensing multipoints. A condensing multipoint will involve installing, electric supply to the flues and probably will not last as long as the non condensing water heaters. Is the lower gas use for the condensing multipoint likely to be worth the extra cost? Thanks,my gas fitter preferred not to advise.

They reckon you could save about £100 a year with condensing, but obviously depends on how long they run for. Pilot light also continuous so using gas. so do the sums - not much to go wrong with the Britony 11T, change diaphragm (about £5) every 3 or 4 years perhaps. Thermocouple maybe 10 years, about £15.
