Been asked to move a gas meter from the garage, approx 1 meter along the wall.

On most installations I understand up to the meter is gas supplier property etc but on this installation, in the garage, where the yellow poly comes in there is an ECV lever valve, and then approx 5 meters of copper tube, then the gas meter up on the wall as per usual with ECV etc on meter & regulator.

The work was quoted by gas supplier, bit the builder is under the impression that any gas safe installer can do it, as it says on there quotation " these works may also be undertaken by a registered gas engineer & then e gas safe web address"

anyone done is before? I don't want to do something that's not allowed. Also, I only have boilers, fires cookers pipework etc, would I need meters for this??

Any advice appreciated thanks.

You need your meters qualification to move a gas meter.
