I am fitting a roll-top bath which has very little clearance to the floor.
The instructions say to cut a hole in the floor to accommodate the waste but I am reluctant to do so.

There is enough room to fit a low-profile shower trap so I think I can engineer a solution that way.

I am thinking that that it's just a question of whether it will take the water away quick enough.

I was thinking (obviously erroneously) that a shower waste takes water away at least as fast as the taps can provide it.
I will look for another solution, any suggestions.

you can buy 'roll top type' chrome traps , there generally metal. forget that hepvo rubbish , it'll look awlful. there not cheap either but look the part
