change an analogue thermostat to a digital wireless thermostat

Hi, Can anyone be of help please. I have a Worcester Heatslave oil boiler situated in the cupboard under the stairs which is accessed via the living room and heats both water and radiators. The boiler has a timer panel fitted to it. The analogue dial thermostat for the boiler is through the wall into the living room. I need to move the thermostat and want to install a digital wireless thermostat with a sensor in my daughters bedroom upstairs. Then I guess the base unit would be installed next to the boiler.

I'm guessing that I would need to remove the existing thermostat, trail the wires back to the wall next to the boiler and use those wires to power the new base unit.

The boiler is a Heatslave 15/19. Has anyone got any advice as to which wireless thermostat would be easiest to install. Thanks in advance.

why would you put a roomstat in a bedroom, it should be in the hall or living room where you spend most of your time and operating at around 20 degrees and not at 18 as most beedrooms should be. stick a trv in the bedroom to control its temp

Being under stairs is a risk. Have you got 1hr fire rating walls floor and door.
Can you post picture.
Ideally 21 degrees is habitable

erm, coldest room in the house in the winter is my daughters room. Suppose I could put it in the hallway instead. Also need to know if I need to take the timer unit out of the boiler and put the original switch back in the space left if I'm going to be using a wireless unit.

Yes you can take out what you have and replace with a didgi stat. The link
Be warned, the board is 24v yet didgi needs 240 as a reciever, and stat is batt

your approaching this the wrong way, if the room is to cold then the rad is to small and needs a larger one, so get someone to do the calcs for you to get the right size rad and pop it in with a trv and that way the room will be ok and warm to around 18 as it should be leav ing your kitchen and living room to work at the slightly higher temp of 21 as laid down in bs.
