Hi I’m looking to install the above. Atm I have an older one fitted (old wireless thermostat and old receiver that’s wired into my combi boiler. Pic below shows how my current one is wired, live neutral and would the 2x black wires be switch wires and would matter what way they were wired in? My question is when I fit the new hive receiver can I leave existing wiring as is in my boiler and just connect the new receiver to other end of the cable?

Thanks

Black wires can go either way round, doesn’t matter, but check they’re suitable, as in not open therm. Looks like a Vokéra pcb? Yes can leave existing wiring, provided as I said not opentherm

What is open therm? Yes it’s a vokera combi. So those terminals are the correct ones to then attach onto my new hive receiver?

Thanks

Opentherm is a data language used by some manufacturers, which uses extra low voltage. If they are connected to existing wireless stat, then yes, they’ll be the correct ones.
