Charles wet and dry vac

Anyone have any experience of the Charles wet and dry vac?
Trade-point are selling them pretty cheap £60+vat

Charles is a good vac not the cheapest only down side I find is the volumn is not the biggest regards Turnpin:8:

Not a bad price for the Charles!!

I've got a Karcher. I know some on here reckon they're not very good but as already said it was cheap so just replace when it breaks down. It hasn't got a huge capacity but then I mainly use it for cistern changes & the odd little bits. Don't use it for dry vac, got an old dyson for that.

i had a cheap one once & it sprayed water up the wall! I'm guessing a Charles won't do the same!!

If your decommissioning get earlex or one with big storage but Charles is high quality. U don't need a lot of power in a wet vac though. 1200w ample .

Looks heavy to lug around. I have the Lidl one which is exactly the same as the Wickes one but with a slightly different handle. It is very light when empty, and i've sucked up thousands of gallons of pure horror with it. The filter is so blocked with human hair, magnetite and poo lumps that I almost retch every time I have to empty it. But it still works perfectly 🙂

It seems a very well built bit of kit! Sucked up a bucket of water in no time with no mess or drips!

At that price I would get one sooner rather than later, doubt they will hang about!

Now to make room in the van!

How many litres does it hold? I have the vax one which works well but no storage.

It's 15 litres dry or 9 litres wet... Not the biggest but should be okay for plumbing I hope!

No matter what size when ur being surrounded by a black lagoon the Hoover always hits full before system hits empty.

Wow, 9 litres is awesome. I was doing a powerflush the other day and as the f&e was full of gunk I didn't want to risk draining down. So put 1/2 cap on tank connector and sunked out. But vac filled up by half way. Didn't enjoy having to carry it up and down the loft
