I might buy a few Kuterlite 900's to try. They are very expensive though. I bought a load of compression from toolstation and I'm becoming of the opinion they're to blame.

I suppose it's like anything, if the cheap stuff worked there'd be no market for the expensive stuff.

i just use unversial boss from bss group smear some of that round an olive does the trick yeah 1 in 20 not bad your bound to get a few weeps now and then

I was putting some paste worund an olive on a rad valve and the builder on the job said to me that putting paste around an olive will block up a heating system.

They're definetly cheap and cheerful, not so sure about dry. Used about 8 on a job today, two had to be loosened, more ptfe added and nipped up, one I had to chuck and re-do.

I'm obviously doing something wrong.

Which paste do you you use? Because if you're using the same tat I am but getting it to work - that's what I need to use.

i find cheap and cheerful toolstation compression gear to be alright. usually good to go without paste or ptfe, for that rare weeper crack the nut and wrap with ptfe.

Good call there system.

Where sells jet blue, typed it in google and didn't come up with any places that I know have branches round here.

I always use PTS plumbing trade supplies or BSS, if not plumb center sell same stuff very nice to work with, make sure it has a yellow lid on dont get the tub with red lid on as its no good like chewing gum stick to your hand rather than the pipe!
