Connection to a gas pipe that:s 50 years old

Thanks Dave someone with some common sense !Next doors gas supply to cooker has been renewed due to a gas leak! and all is well as i have renewed the pipe to this property. Removed a section of old pipe and it was;nt protected or wrapped still it did not fail so all is well
