Welcome to the forum. Although you can post in any forum, the USA forum is here in case of local regs or laws

I am new to the forum. Trying to seek some advice on gas pipe being laid in concrete foundation.

If I put the copper gas pipe in a PVC pipe and then laid in the concrete foundation...can this method work.

OP is in New York. What is it they have over there instead of Building Regulations? I think it's called a Building Code?

Well if he is then he know he needs to be licensed and insured and permits raised with the local establishments
Hi Shaun, I'm sensing a level of irritation in that reply and I'm not really sure why?

I thought it would be good to be able to point people in the right direction even when we cannot actually give advice and I don't think we can assume he will know the US rules just because he is an American. I just thought at least in the UK we'd be able to help by referring him to a Gas Safe installer which would be the acceptable procedure, but I didn't know what the New-York state equivalent procedure was for gas installations.

What you're saying then, if I follow you, is unless he's got his contractor's licence (license) for gas, he needs to find a licenced installer to carry out the work as he cannot DIY it even if he does follow his state's code? If he needs to use an approved contractor, I agree there's no point him knowing the code himself.
