Is it acceptable to plumb the waste from a dehumidifier into to a waste pipe. It has a 9mm pipe with it for the waste. I was thinking of putting this on to an appliance connector waste Fitting then screwing onto a hepVo trap. A washing machine upstand maybe unadvisable incase it isn't used for a while?

What do the manufacturer's installation instructions say?

With it being a constant dripped discharge when in operation would it not cause an issue with keeping the hepvo trap slightly open when in operation?

The pipe from the dehumidifier is 9mm so won't go over a appliance connector the unicorn thing that accepts a washing machine hose any ideas of connecting this to a hepVo with inline adapter. Thanks

The only one I can seem to get hold of is the one in the attached picture;

Does this look like the 22mm part is soft rubber i.e to attach to a pump with a jubilee clip? So may not be suitable.

Thanks I'll order that is a city plumbing near me. Can I just ask what people's thoughts are on hepvo traps compared to other similar waterless traps like viva, seem quiet abit cheaper.

Thanks do you usually use hepvo for dehumidifiers? Just abit conserned if it is a trickled discharge the membrane could possibly stay partially open?

The hepvo traps seem very good have only used copys for a few years. But they let the slightest trickle through. Seem to open easier then the other makes I have fit

The machine says just to remove the plug at the rear and attach the hose for permanent drainage. I thought they'd be something else to do to stop it draining in to the reservoir in the machine? But it doesn't say anything.
