Good morning

I’ve installed a double appliance trap and extended the height using couplers(?) on advice from diy shop however, due (I think) to the waste pipe behind the cupboard and the drain pipes under the sink being the same height, the washing machine bubbles come up into the sink and the dishwasher can’t drain properly so isn’t rinsing properly 🤦🏻‍♀️ i thought I could rectify this by lowering the height of the waste pipe behind the cupboard but it doesn’t go straight down, it’s at a 45 degree angle so if I took anything off the height it would be too far away from the rest of the pipe work to reconnect.



Please help 😅

You can get rid of one of those extensions 100% possibly both by lifting the trap up if the washing machine spigot piece is too long cut it down as you have a removable nut on that one correct ?

Also what’s the kitchen sink plug top / waste connection as that looks like a long one eg could replace with the below etc

I hadn’t realised I could shorten the spigot thing!🤦🏻‍♀️ will do that then see what it looks like, see image for how close the sink waste is to the standpipe, that bit is solvent welded so can’t alter it, hopefully your suggestions will solve the problem- thank you ☺️

You can also change the sink part so this is also reduced

It’s still 1/2 an inch off with spigot shortened as much as possible, have ordered a new sink waste thing….🤞

Just been to toolstation, their sink things are all the same depth so can’t raise the trap, gonna have to get a plumber in to shorten the standpipe, I daren’t mess around with welded pipes 😬
