Esbe valve installation

Does it matter which orientation on a 3 port Esbe valve is installed ie from a mono bloc heat pump to a hot water cylinder and underfloor manifold or can the head be placed to suit?

Diverted can go most ways. As long as it diverts 90degrees.

Not sure if still relevant but the head can be placed to suit, you just need to move the white spindle to the correct orientation in the body before you place the head on in the mid position.

Daikin who are commissioning the heat pump said as long as the heat pump or source is not on the branch it’s fine.
