Fit a Magnaclean on an old boiler/central heating system

The reason the big guys are using WB is because they give large rebates to big customers. I can't see any of the boiler manufacturers fitting magnetic filters to their boilers. How would they wriggle out of warranty claims then?

With all these companies (as advertised on TV) offering WB with long warranty, Vaillant are missing out on a large chunk of the market. Building in a filter and upping their warranties to get some of the action would be worth a lot of money to them.

I bought Vaillant thinking I was buying the best, ran sweet and trouble free for 5 years, but recently developed noise, and Vaillant say one of the circuits in the heat exchanger is restricted.

Don't think I would buy another one, probably WB with long warranty next time.

Flaming SS heat exchanger again!! lol

Although this time its the bore, not the actual material.

The Viessmann looks a good alternative to the Vaillant - similar price range too.

Couldn't find any cross sectional images of Atag heat exchangers, but will bear in mind.
