What are the regs regarding flues on balconies? I am doing a few flats at the moment all with balconies. I am going to be extending them out and past the balcony above, but is there a minimum height they need to be run at etc etc. I have a feeling a technical bulletin was released on this, but the rubbish gas safe site wont let me log in for some reason.

Did you find out the answer mfgs? Personally I'd think you'd adhere to the 2m rule or terminal guard required..?

I drive past some council high rise flats on a regular basis that have recently been updated.

They have extended through the balcony area at high level and terminated with a standard horizontal flue, all are suitably clipped. It does look odd that's why I noticed them but it must of been the only way or maybe the most cost effective option. They do look 2mtrs from the balcony floor.

hope that helps but I haven't got any pictures.

Yeah basically above two meters or guards needed. If the balcony is enclosed on both sides then the flue needs to be extended out past the balcony above if that makes sense, so the plume cant build up on the balcony area, which is what I have had to do.
