Gas Safety Register are coming on board!

Great news. Gas Safety Register are coming on board the forum for the next 12 months. At no cost to them. I literally want them to use the forum, that's all. 🙂

Keep this out of the public forums for now. I wouldn't want any comments upsetting the apple cart before we've even got the ball rolling.

I'm hoping that between us we help get their news out to Joe Public. And also stop people who are still bloody asking for CORGI cards etc!!

Well done lads for making the forum attractive enough for them to even consider us.

Keep up the good work.

Hopefully once we have the articles system running they can contribute to that. And fingers crossed they'll physically use the forum from time to time to answer questions and whatnot too.

GasSafePR is their external marketing team who wanted an account to check the forum out if I remember rightly. They've been pushing us to them for a couple of months I think.

They won't be posting too much, and if they have an area questions are submitted they'll be vetting questions before they go live. Some things just need to be done directly when it involves something as important as Gas and Gas Regs.

They will NOT have access to the GSR forum. That way you can still discuss what you want in there out of their eyes, and the eyes of the public.

Effectively they will have public access, so they'll see the same content they see now as unregistered readers. Just now we should be able to get some help from them with regards to their main campaign, to keep people safe. I guess.

It will give the forum a seal of approval from
the governing body that registers Gas Engineers and "hopefully" it will promote proper answers for the gas forum that are backed up by them. It might discourage some who come on asking questions about gas work as they want to do it themselves illegally. GSR will give the form credence.

Dan, for those of us that do lead work, can we not have the Lead Sheet Association on board too?

Think it's great that they're coming on board. If they wanted to look in the arms/ GS section it wouldnt be hard to acheive. If I can manage it, I'm sure anybody can!!

a few months back in the GS mag they were saying to GSR,S that it would be worth joining a professional forum and ours was the name given,i think it can only do the forums good to have gas safe on board
