Hi all

Can someone steer me in the right direction diagnosing a glow worm 45/2 back boiler issue. It’s cutting out after about 10 minutes in operation. Always serviced, clean as a whistle. Pump is ok, header tank is ok. Motorised valve is ok. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

Cutting out?
Permanently?

Yes. Restart by pilot then on to full flame

So the Pilot cuts out?

There is an Oxy Pilot on those with a sensing tube. If the Boiler is not spilling, then check the air intake on the pilot burner, clean it and clean through the tube. It will possibly have fluff in it.

If it has once the main Burner lights the pilot flame is reduced enough to allow the thermocouple to cool. Then pop, off it goes.

It can also be dirt in the pilot jet. If it is all clean, it will more than likely need a new pilot assembly. You can still buy them.

Swine to fit though.
