anyone got the real technical helpline number for the manufacturers of this superb heap of crap and not the bloody stupid home owner only one? its a 24cxi,testing i have mains to main pcb and continuity across the fast fuse but its dead and doing nowt dont know if its the main pcb or interface one so i need to speak to glowworm, also the filling loop is peeing out of a small, threaded open ended section inside the boiler as soon as you open the loop, anyone know why? my axe would make a very nice mess of this one

dont know a number but the leak is very common (pretty sure its the nrv bit), think from memory you have to buy the whole fill assembly though.

This is the same as one of the heatlines ennit? I had that problem with a c24 and because I work for one of the big companies I replaced both boards and the thing was still dead! Never got to the bottom of it....I phoned heatline whilst I was there and even they didn't have a clue what it was.....would love to know though.

have a feeling its drown the pcb,s ,i have tested as far as the on off switch theres power in and out of that and getting to the pcb

problems now fixed duotec hea going in monday landlords said its been i nightmare of a boiler
I had the same problem before Christmas totally rubbish Boiler there was a post a while ago a few Guys replaced the PCB and they were blowing I forwarnd the landlord turned out it wasn't on it's first PCB lol I took out the old axe and put a logic plus in.

Just come back from a glow worm hxi with the same problem....even worse though...it had a boiler mate attached to it!! Luckily this time it was the pcb that'd gone and I had one on me van! Bit strange though.....no fused spur for the boiler, but the boiler had an rcd inside the boiler mate to turn off the power to it.....not seen that before!

The one I just had, had power going to the boiler via a little junction box under the boiler but when tested the fuse was not getting 240 across it....so tested for 240 in and out of the power switch (red and white wire out of switch) which was fine....fuse on board was fine too....so power wasnt getting from the 240 connection on the board to the rest of the pcb.

same in my case, would have put a pcb in it but i have already renewd 5 other boilers for this landlord over the last 6 years all baxis or mains inc her own home, based on how reliable they have been compared to this glowheap, she decided to bin it

Happy days for gasman and baxi!! :-D nice to hear of a decent landlord for a change!

Why would the flow switch render the boiler dead without any led's on?
I don't know, I got sent to fit a flow switch. Got there and I thought this has to be the pcb. Rang GW tec and they told me to take out the connector block for the flow switch. The boiler then came on and displayed the flow switch fault. Fitted the new switch and it worked perfectly.

well will never know now, house its in is rank,i am staying to get the duotec on the wall and the flue done (my dad cant lift them anymore, hernia) then off to fix more broken ones, leaving him and bungalow to finish it

Was the boiler dead before you fitted the flow switch?? Will keep this in mind the next time I come across this. If it works that's a great bit of knowledge.

Ye, I'm 99% sure it was totally dead, there may have been a blink from the light when you turned it on. Which is why I was shocked when I found this out. There's one way to find out though, next time ring GW.
