got home at 3 to find a box for me, which cheered me up having just run away from yet another leak in some alkathene under a plyed and tiled bathroom floor. 4th leak in this pipe in 12 months, yet the muppet landlord wont rip it all out and start again!! So I turned off the mains and came home, told him to call his insurers, as I have my next 3 weeks booked up 🙂

Any way my new milwaukee pipe slice machine has arrived, which I thought I would try out seeing as my left hand is now useless due to either a tfcc lesion or a lump of broken bone floating around, only taken 9 months for the docs to draw that conclusion, mri in 2 weeks time then???????????

so popped it out the box and gave it a twirl, and my 18 month old grand daughter spent a happy 20 minutes making it rattle and brrrrrr once she saw the go button. Funny how kids like toys as well.......

So off to rip out an old system tomorrow and pop in a new one, toy in hand, I hope the bleedin thing works, they cost enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are great for 28mm, but poor on 22 and useless on 15. Shame as I have a dodgy left wrist too!

took a while to get it to work, 22mm either cuts in a few spins or wont cut at all, operator error me thinks, 15mm waste of space. easier with a normal slice. but in saving my wrist fm total failure its grand, plus it keeps me happy, probably not worth £219, but my wrist really hurts after slicing for a day, so bargain as far as it goes, not tried any 28 mm but that really beggars the old hand.

update, learned to use it correctly, works a treat on all sizes, needs regular oiling to make it work properly..

Good tip with the oil. Can't get mine to work in 15 :sosp:

make sure you centralize it in the jaws before starting on 15mm works a treat then
