The bench was a real neat fix! :

IMAG0059.jpg. Went to service a boiler I put in last year and he said can you just check something else, needless to say he fitted it himself and used the hose from his old ffree standing cooker

saw the flue outside when doing a job next door today knocked on customers door and then shock when i looked inside.cust wasnt even aware and was complaining of headaches.

Of this photo I can se only air intake tube separated ... And. I sign of soot on the ceiling above flue ! Did u do a co reading in the room to see if it was leaking and co and CO2

its not the clearest photo but when i went to check if it was connected at all it came off in my hands from outside as it wasnt sealed either side of the wall. never thought to take a reading before i just cleaned all the fluff and crap off and refitted then did my checks and a reading after to check it was safe.

just out of curiosity, did you knock on his door out of the blue or did he ring you?
Did you charge him?
only reason I ask is because most customers would moan like mad and tell you to get lost.
cust was just parking up when i collared her.
showed her what was up. went inside told her she was lucky to be alive and she just said i wonder if thats why ive been getting headaches. i told her i could fix it but i couldnt leave it as it was, without capping it off. she told me to fix it whatever the cost. and i did. and i sold 2 co alarms aswell as her mate was with her and took a business card.

That belongs in the job of the month...

Actually - I don't either. Like the fact that it's got a wee warning on it. A four year old kid would probably have to lean on it, while they worked out what it said.
branding the word hot on four year olds is pretty effective
they learn a new word and what it means and never forget

Boiler Install

Boiler was less than a year old. Fitted sideways so no acess to change anything at all on the boiler. Main heat exchanger blocked due to installer not flushing system. Huge holes left in walls, condence termiantes on felt roof, pure lazy as it could have been run 3 meters into a drain. Flow and return run in 15mm. Biasi refused to do anything obviously as installer had left no acess and fault was due to blockage.

Ended up fitting new boiler on rear wall so now at least you can change a part if needed. Flushed system and fitted a magnaclean.057.jpg058.jpg059.jpg060.jpg061.jpg064.jpg062.jpg
