We know that vern but TBH I think thats the least of this guy's problems, my reports going to be a long one !!!

Judging by the boarded up door below, I think they could be squatters.....which would explain the terribleness of it.

Squatters will not be installing soil pipes in the house, they would find the house with all mod cons in place.

Well, you never know. I saw a documentary on squatters and their ingenuity was only beaten by their dogged determination to avoid full time employment.

what are the two pumps feeding to the left ? What is under the boiler rhs a secondery hot water pump ? What's the pump doing on the return to the boiler for and is there no expansion vessels fitted ?? I know is not your work just interest to find out the job specification .
also is both cylinders of one primary flow with one motorised valve ?

That sort of install is way beyond me but I find it a real tragedy that someone who can make such a neat and professional LOOKING job, doesnt know what he's doing (not from my observation - I wouldnt know). I take my hat off to you lot for fault finding it because it certainly looks the part.

On today's safety check I had a heat o ly boiler converted to sealed system with prv straight out on the first bend over the boiler on the flow pipe and expansion vessel in the airing cupbored on the positive side of the pump , + many more faults

Someone spent a lot of money on that just a pity there plumber just didn't quite know what he was doing

You loom at it and think quality install even like trunking on floor for circuits etc then you look deeper into it and you see faults !you can see a plumber has done it ! Just out of his depth maybe !

I fitted an outside tap for my college bricky department and decided I might as well use the opportunity to use it as evidence of me following PPE rules for my portfolio. I'll have to scan the photo one day to show you how cool I look wearing a hard hat, ear defenders and goggles while drilling the hole standing on my ladder (propped at 45 degrees of course). I think it's 45 degrees, is it?
