Oh of course, hole sawing the grate gives a much better finish.

Going to be busy tomorrow afternoon then... the only issue i now forsee after your help is moving the left hand soil pipe with limited bends...

Only just fully clocked what you said i think. Yes..
I will see if like you said a 90 and then a 45 can be used to get it in the correct place without snaking the soil pipe uneccesarily all over the place using multiple 90s..

One final question if anyone knows..

The kitchen has been redesigned and the blue mains water pipe needes extending by about 3 meters. It has already been reduced to 22mm or possibly 15mm cant remember at the moment, but it has a brass stopcock on the end at present in one of these pipe sizes.

To extend it do i need to use a straight coupler on the blue pipe and extend it in same diameter blue pipe, or can i use the 15 or 22mm size pipe it currently is and extend the extra 3m in this 15 or 22mm pipe to the new stopcock location? If that makes sense?

How would you do this?

At moment it pops out of a block under the sink and ends here with a brass stopcock on it, however it needs to end where the red dot is. If i connected under the floor as is in 22m pipe say, then would have to leave this stopcock open as it couldnt be accessed under screed etc.

Yes that doesnt sound right...

Ok ill find out what size the blue pipe is, and find a coupler that size to extend it. I assume you can get straight couplers for these mains water pipes

Were the plans done before or after the soils were fitted as they are in the wrong place to complete a tidy satisfactory installation, it can be done but awkward but someone’s dropped a clanger either who done the plans or installed the soils
