Have just found the site, signed up...........wish i had found the site years ago. Im currently subbing for a local company who fit air con, ventilation, warm air heaters (oil and gas), Evaporative cooling and the odd system boiler. I personally did 6129 over 2 years, whilst working as a subby and am almost done with my nvq2 and have water regs, unvented cert and an introduction to underfloor heating booked december/january. Did pay out for my training with olci and did regret it, but instead of complain about it im making it work. Definitely would stick with the saying " you only get out what you put in" in regards to olci
Have done 6 bathrooms, new rads and such and loads of maintainance for friends and family and im getting comfortable and confident in my abilities, made a few bonhead mistakes along the way and have been earning a pittance but have learned so much the last 2 years and i really love domestic plumbing (not so fond of commercial gas fitting)
Currently toying with the idea of starting out on my own as i have my own van and tools, just need the insurances.
Hope to be in this game for a good few years 🙂
