Hot waste pipes !!!

Guys your thoughts please

I look after a dentists surgery , they have a steraliser ( looks like a mega dishwasher ) that emptys into some 40 mm solvent weld waste , which is simply not up to the job because is can not take the heat ( we think about 90 degrees )
.After speaking to a couple of manufacturers who quoted me the British Standard . No plastic waste pipe will take anywhere near this heat on a prolonged discharge .

Anybody any come up against this before or got any ideas around it .

I had something like this with a piece of machinery in an old folks home it might also have been A steriliser. I spoke to LBC and they suggested a waste pipe which is specifically designed for high temperatures mupvc so that's what I used. All seems fine

What`s that Black stuff called ? Be warned though it is a sod to work with as all joints are rubber O ring and you need a tool to cut a groove in the pipe for the O ring to locate in, pretty sure it takes high temps and all sorts of chemicals. Only ever worked with it the once many years ago.

That's what I was going to say. They used it in the past and it can withstand the temperatures so ideal really.

I've done 4 refurbs in dentists and all specced M UPVC for anything bar general sink waste pipe work
Couldn't say with certainty that they all had sterilisers, but would have thought so

always use it mate if copper/steel isnt spec for

you need special tools tho

Yep saw the vid on the link , will start pricing up tomorrow , copper still an option but no idea what would be be cheaper the vulcathene looks expencive .

Don`t throw the tools away at the end and yes think it was expensive mind you I had miles of pipe and sacks of fittings.

Its funny you should say that , I have only just found out today the steriliser discharges at around 90 degrees so untill its done I am going to advise them to do that . The one problem with this is the last section of the pipe is actualy in a wall cavity, dont ask ...... Builders Pfftttttttttt

how about a reciever tank to discharge into..cools before then pushed out by hot discharge at lower temp, like a mini hw cistern or into a rad!!
