Increase epc rating of hot water tanks

Have a landlord with no gas and combination tanks with immersions for hot water. He wants to increase the efficiency rating for the house so wants suggestions with replacing these with something else.

Would be mains pressure so if it’s that bad just lagg the existing tanks more

Knowing how outdated the epc’s are I doubt if anything would help.

Is the existing one ancient , ie. no insulation ?

This is what I don't get why he's asking as the tanks are insulated but they are in the loft I suggested wrapping them in another jacket maybe.

You could but it wont make no difference at all on an epc , is he wanting to sell

I maybe wrong but perhaps he has to show the epc as a landlord , most tenants would expect a efficient home .

Yes your right I remember that with the one I rent out . If the property is F/G then they have to bring up to E
