From your pics you obviously take a lot of pride in your work David. Some really nice jobs there.
Just need a bit of practice on the soldering.😉

@ Graham M - Yeah - still learning the ropes - it's all down to experience.
Decided to get qualified on the plumbing side of things.
In 3 months time i will have my City & Guilds in Plumbing.

You learn by your mistakes as they say.......

David

Chrome covers are for amateurs !
I've drilled this with a 17mm hole cutter.
Check out the 1st picture.
Once thats filled filled cream grout it will finish it off lovely.

TBH, I'll probably paint the copper pipe in Silver paint - just to take the edge off it.

David

Tip for you David. Use a dremmel and grind off the chrome that way you can use an endfeed to solder the chrome to the copper instead of worrying about a compression fitting and the hassle of making room for them. And no amatuer pipe covers

i just use a file to remove enough chrome to go into an endfeed fitting to be able to solder it. hasn't failed me yet.

This is probably a good argument for testing that water comes out your rad tails before tiling them in. But it's easily overlooked.
