my boiler has been leaking for awhile but I have stupidly ignored it and stuck a dish under it. There hasn't been much, but now I am selling the house I cant leave it like that for the new owners.
It is a vokera compact 28.
I have took the front cover off for the first time tonight to have a look myself to see if it was something as simple as a loose pipe. Well I have attached some photos of the flex pipe that is causing it
the pipe is the hot water coming out of the heat exchanger at the top, the water is coming from the top of the pipe and draining down the outside of the pipe then out the bottom. Is this pipe replaceable easily? I presume the system will need draining first. I have British Gas cover with a £100 excess so I am not sure if it worth claiming against that if it will be cheaper than calling someone out?
Also, and I'm not sure if it related, if you turn the heat up too high on the central heating (hot water is fine) then the led changes from green to red, and the boiler goes off. I has done that for years but we've never needed to have it on full blast because the lower temperatures is enough for the house. Could this be related or will it be something else?
