There are two discharge pipes from your boiler, don't put anything over either of them until you get someone back to see what's going on, some photos might help us.

PS did the boiler service man go into any other parts of the house, if he stayed in the room where the boiler is then why would anyone suspect the water is going somewhere other then around the boiler area, just a thought?[/QUOTE]
The two discharge pipes are 1)condensate output, and 2)pressure relief. I have put a piece of toilet paper and a loose plastic bag over the end of the pressure relief pipe. I have read on several forums, including here, that is a way to tell if there is any discharge. Its loose, so that if there is any great pressure, it will come off.
He didnt go anywhere else in the bungalow, the boiler is in the loft.
BTW, I didnt get the original installer in because he does not do servicing, dont know why. Got him in to install because he has done several in our road, and all are satisfied. Good tidy work, and no mess left behind.

Can't understand what the engineer would have touched to cause such an issue? As for condense water spilling, it's gunna happen, it's how you catch it and clean it up that matters really.

If he's got a new analyser then it will take alittle time to get used to it, some installers have only been using them since April sadly.

AW why have engineers only been using analyser since April, something to do with the tax year end !!!!! :sleep1:

benchmark requirements change, all new boilers must be tested and recorded, hence many engineers that only install have been forced into getting one.

AW,

Are you saying that all boilers before now could be installed by a GSR and they did not need to do a flue gas analysis test, just do a gas flow test, drop test, etc.

Hi, I'm new to the forum, but here goes. I had a new radiator fitted in the bathroom. later I noticed the CH pressure drop, so re-pressurised from mains. Check later and still dropping. The answer was in the loft, the air bleed hadn't been shut firmly, but the minor weep was being absorbed by the loft insulation. Took a while to dry the glass wool out, and there was a small stain on ceiling below (lick of paint). I agree with paper telltails, but would use kitchen roll (stays in place) and put it on a plastic tray. Good luck, but find the leak.

AW are you saying that a new boiler installation the installer would only need a stop watch(wrist) and a manometer, was that it on the GSR, do you know which boiler manufactures require CO/CO2 ratio. I am surprised, I take it, it has changed, why was that???
