Evening all,

Can I ask you good folk, if low loss headers require a zone valve after the pump for each zone? My zones are ufh, towel rails and hot water.

A lot depends on the circuits you're controlling. If it's domestic or a small installation, you could get away with a small domestic sized pump/one size of pump for all circuits, (as long as the index is covered). That's possibly why KOP used the zone valves, (I'm guessing). On Commercial it is done in different ways owing to what the different types of circuit might be, so as Shaun said, you normally see different sized pumps and NRV's as a basic.

If you use three pumps that's your choice.
If you don't use a valve or NRV then all three circuits could warm up when any one of them is on.
i.e. If you install three pumps, one on each circuit and only one pump switches on, you will have nothing to prevent flow through other circuits. Even if it is by Gravity. It might not do of course, it might work well depending on the installation pipe work but I would want a more positive set up. I would probably use MV's and one pump by the sound of the installation.
I might be misunderstanding your question here Bogrodder.

Installations that utilise different pumps for different circuit/duties only really/usually need an NRV to prevent circulation in other circuits when those circuits are piped off a LLH. If you want to use three pumps, off a LLH then you could use NRV's. You would need something though in my opinion. I have not seen the set up so it's difficult to say for certain.

Is that 15 mm pipe tee'd in after between pump and Boiler for the F&E (fill or feed and expansion)?
If it is, I would have placed it behind the pump.
It won't make a huge difference in all honesty due to the Header but I still think it better to do it that way. Others may disagree with that of course. We all work our own way.

Yes, it’s actually a 22mm for the expansion vessel and the prv point.
 
Third days progress, been slow today...as I’ve been connecting all the pipework in the false ceiling above. Up and down flipping ladders all day. Can I ask you good people if 1.5” solvent weld waste waste pipe and fitting would be suffice enough for the outlet from the Sanicom2?

End of week progress. I’m still waiting if stuff to arrive, was hoping to get filled up today.... but I didn’t fancy filling up on a Friday.... for obvious reasons
