bought this drill last month and happy with it just one question to anyone who has the same . works great on hammer only and hammer and drill . drill only works good but sounds as if its in hammer slightly even though its not and drill not hammering - from memory my mate had a 24v sds Makita and that was the same

My old makita cordless did the same. It's just te way gear box built.

i have had a few sds drill do the same. Never caused an issue.

had to take it back last week only used it for 7mm holes and 22mm in wood and the clutch would come in . could hold the chuck with my hand and press trigger and clutch would work - give Makita their due merchants sent it off and next day they sent new drill
