A family member who does mostly restaurant kitchen plumbing is helping up with a bathroom remodel on a newly purchased house. The trickiest part is moving the WC to the adjacent wall, so I need help to advise him of the most practical solution (or else I'll be calling in an expert!).
Here's the plan:

We haven't completed purchase yet, so not sure if soil stack pipe is cast iron or plastic. So my questions are about 3 scenarios:
- If it's a cast iron pipe, how do you make the branch face the other way? Saw out the branch and weld in new one?
- If it's a plastic pipe with branch glued in, do you cut out the branch and fit a new one, or somehow make it do a U-turn back toward the other wall?
- If it's a plastic pipe with branch not glued in, we can just spin it 90 degrees right?
Would a WC like this give us enough space behind it to do a 90 degree bent pan connector (we don't want to channel out a solid wall).

I just found a "Hepflex" soil/pan connector which looks interesting. Anyone have experience using them? Looks a bit flimsy for a permanent install to me.
thanks!
