Went to a Baxi 105he yesterday, blown fuse. Renewed fuse and off it went, so I left it to let the fault develop.
Got the inevitable call back, blocked condensate flashing. So the guy turned he boiler off. When I turned it back on it was cycling.so in went new pcb. The same wtf, kicking the boiler and swearing at it made absolutely no difference at all.
Spoke to two Baxi techs, second one told me to disconnect the gas valve lead at the pcb. Hey presto no cycling, renewed that and Tina's your aunty. Aparantly they have resisters in the lead.
Every days a school day.

I don't do gas, but when I read this, it brought back the words from a mate of mine, who is a top guy at electrics, but not in anyway a plumber. He told me, on what I think was same boiler (sort of modern Baxi Barcelona?) that the lead from the PCB had resistors in it and the connections are easily checked by a electronic engineer. He just knew looking at the lead. Think he said the neutral and live pins need to be found from the others and are one way, or something?
He told me plumbers know nothing about gas boilers, as they are full of electronics.
Cheeky git, but he has a point!

The block connecter under the modulation wires, it plugs into the front left hand side of the pcb.
