New to the trade from South Herts/North London

Good Morning,

I am on the borders of South Hertfordshire and North London and considering starting my own plumbing business. I am currently doing my NVQ in plumbing, but due to not having any experience in the trade it self, finding it hard to even get company's to give me a though. Personally I do like being hands on and I think that I have a good approach to how I work and my abilty.

I have a few friend's who work in various trades (electrician,plumber etc) who I am considering asking to perhaps get involved with work I am doing. However, they are employed so have their own jobs so calling upn their skills may not always be something I have the option of. So I am looking for local based people within the trade to:
a) Build a working relationship up with and increase my contacts
b) Involve new contacts in work I will be involved with
c) Increase my working knowledge while working and being involved with new contacts.

Starting my own business is something I have thought about doing for sometime and I have already started the process. I do hope t hear from some local people who may be interested in getting involved.

cant help for contacts, but wanted to wish you good luck
advice, take it slow, really look after your customer, build yourself up a good name and work will flood in.
if it means losing money on a couple of jobs that go pear shaped, take it on the chin and learn from it, a good name is really difficult to get, a bad one easily obtained and both spread like wild fire.
