Evening all..
Right, been to a property after a visit to look at installing an oil fired boiler. It's a former style bungalow with one bathroom. I've done the whole house calculation as per spec, turns out I need a min of 16.2kw to meets demands.
the issue is that there is absolutely no where for a floor standing boiler internally, they aren't keen on an external so I'm looking at a wall hung.
The choice of wall hung oil boilers is minimal. (Needs to be combi)
HRM do their version , the wall star combi 18/24 . Literature states 18kw to heating and 24kw to water. However I emailed HRM on the off chance that they had another version or if it could be range rated higher. Friendly chap replied quite confident that the 18/24 would be suitable, as despite the boilers title and what it says in the literature, the boiler itself is rated to give an output of 24kw to heating.
Ive never fitted HRM before, so if any frequent fitters out there that could offer advice on this, I'd be much appreciative...... Alex

just puruade them to go external, especially as its oil, no noise or smell so its a no brainer
