Hi all, asked to fit three cast iron radiators....imports from italy..cannot get the tails to seal on the rads and the 15 mm connections to the trvs have a split olive and a rubber washer..was very gentle and gradual with them but still leak under pressure...anyone fitted these, same as ones in screwfix mag, any advice on how to stop these leaking? Thanks....

Loctite and a smear of jet blue normally does the trick for me.

with the split olive and washer, the ones I've fitted have sealed very easily without much pressure at all.

What you using on the tail threads?

Thanks for replying..Just ptfe, but there seems to be a difference in the threads in the rads, more resistance one end than the other...got hold of the importers today..they have asked me to send back the trvs and tails as they ' sometimes have a faulty batch!! I think its more likely the rad bushes? So will wait to see what they say..loctite and jet blue sounds like a possibility when they return....many thanks
