A customer had a 10.4 kw Newteam 104 electric shower installed 6 years ago. To deliver hot water for showering it needs to be set on 'High' and 10 (maximum) and the flow rate is rubbish. Set on 5 the flow rate is acceptable

Do these showers fur up? Can they be cleaned / de-furred? Should I recommend installing a new shower?

The customer is near Horsham which is generally a v hard water area

Advise would be most welcommed
Thanks
Brooksie

You got it in one, in some very hard water areas some appliances will only last 5 years or so, Cylinders, washing machines etc, just before you strip it out check the shower rose is clean if its scaled up put it in viniger over night that will clear all the scale, if its the heat exchanger thats scaled then you can change it or replace the whole unit if thats not viable.
