Good evening Gents
Just interested to know what you would charge for the following

1st visit to prepare for tiler to tile floor
Take out existing pedestal wash basin and cap off supply's

First fix hot and cold supply plus waste from an old bidet that was previously in place so hand basin can be relocated across the room

Take out original toilet

Decommission old towel rad and cap off

Uninstall small column radiator for tiler, to be replaced after floor put down

Uninstall Victorian slipper style bath

2nd Visit

Re fit bath
Re fit column rad
Re fit new toilet in existing location
Install new pedestal hand basin

All renews pipe work from plastic to copper.

Appreciate your help on this one because I'm struggling with this ,don't want to underprice myself whilst not pricing myself out of work

Bob

I never normally reply to these as I haven't seen job or seen any issues, but give me a call if you want me to do the work!!!

is bath metal or fibre glass? how long is plastic runs, how many tiles will hit the bath and scratch it? do you need to get under the floor? is floor boards or sheets? which floor is it on (ground floor, 2nd floor etc)? how many times will they change there mind? who's removing rubbish? only way you will get the right price is by doing the job a few times and seeing the issues and learning from your mistakes

Not being sarcastic or unhelpful, but simply too many unknowns. If everything was eat access, in good condition, no hidden nightmares, I'd price that as two full days, but that's without knowing how much pipework needs to be renewed, what access is like, what you'll find under the floor and do on.

How much do you want, having seen the job? How long do you think it'll take you? How much hassle will there be? Nobody can comment with any real understanding without seeing the job..

Tiles are already up, bath is fibre glass, no fear of tiles hitting the bath unless the room suddenly turns upside down. The rubbish being one toilet one old pedestal basin and an old wonky towel rad and the customer is dealing with that. I have no issues with pipe work all accessible, they've made up their mind.
Thanks for the feedback.

i price most of my work of a spec hardly ever get to see the job prior, reading this tho maybe £800 as could get a hold up on something unforeseen .
If your desperate for the work state £600 but obviously cant see under floor or any unforeseen so possibility of extras

hope that helps

Thanks for the replies, as it happens I have already given the customer a price of £675 and I'm totally comfortable with all aspects of the job, just wanted to see if I was in the ball park, which as it appears I was.

Haha. It really is that simple, I was daunted by pricing at first but it ain't rocket science. Think of a figure and add a little more on for any unforeseen things on the larger jobs.
