Refurbished Stuart Turner shower pump question

Are specialist refurbished Stuart Turner pumps reliable, or is it a bit of a gamble. Would it be best to buy new and pay twice as much.

I wouldn’t as you don’t know why they were refurbished and age before etc could find out it’s 10 years old already
