My bro has cwsc and vented cylinder in kids bed room, we installed a bath mixer tap and very low pressure, moved the cwsc into attic, still low but better, my cwsc is in same place, but better pressure, Only difference is his pipework is 3/4" and very old where as mine is new 22mm. my question is do the chemicals work to clean the pipes out, I'm sure you can get chemicals to clean them out but do they actually work and if so how do you use them? I know we could fit shower pump but it would be noisey if fitted in airing cupboard and don't really like fitting under the bath and he doesn't want to spend loads of money putting 2 new feeds to shower.

Have you checked the mixer is nmixeroked with sediment or bits. Just had a blocked basin tap on a brand new install. The fliter on the outlet was filled with crud.

22mm is basically the same size as 3/4inch.

Flush out pipes & double check mixer is good for gravity systems. If quarter turn, then probably nit.

is not the houses and is not the heads Jase , you are engineer now and should understand water is getting mixed in the mixer not in the hose or the head

I know its mixed in tap, but sometimes the hoses are rubbish and heads sometimes too big, but neither were affecting it, the 3/4 inch is same size but because it was fitted years ago, more then likely it is covered in limescale, its not the quater turn type, not the low pressure type, no filters, I think its just the pipes, what chemicals do you use to clean it out? Does it work? How do you make sure there is none left in the pipe?

Basic taps, wickes special, the cwsc is about half a meter above shower outlet. So not expecting great pressure but should be better then it is

So it's a bath/shower mixer not a bath mixer tap ?
Don't think it will be a limescale problem - more likeley the shower is pants due to the lack of head etc.
If it was my brother I'd just fit a decent shower set up for him.
