Single lever tap not turning to hot

Hi I bought a basin tap single lever. It lifts up & to the right but won’t turn to the left for hot I haven installed it yet I’ve only put it on my worktop.

Try blowing through the flexi when the head is up and to the left you will probably find it’s open already there’s not much sway from hot to cold
