I fitted 60 plus ideal logic+ boilers in 2012. Had 1 call back to a leaking condense trap. Ideal came out next day and replaced it. Lovely to fit, easy to use for the customer. I really rate them mate. Not fitted a vogue but not heard great things. I'm sure logics are still out selling them. Good value mate.

I don't fit boilers, they are just boxes, costs and mark-ups to me. Having said that, I can't make a living unless we sell products that tradesmen will buy again - selling one of something is no use to me!

I often recommend Main, I think that they are good, solid boilers, and we get very few complaints. However, they have let their price drift up, and are behind in the warranty stakes. Glowworm are much the same - you can get the longer warranty, but only with strings attached.

Ideal Independent is our biggest selling budget brand, and Logic+ is the biggest selling mid-price brand. Neither sell as many as Vaillant or Worcester, but we are still talking thousands per year. And the majority of our customers are self employed blokes who can choose what they fit.

Offer is still running, but mostly because we still have hundreds of those bags left, so we aren't going to change the freebie. I got a bit over-enthusiastic when ordering the bags, so we will probably still have some the day I retire.

If you want to wind MickW up, just ask him how the WD40 is selling. 🙂 Back in the day, (when we were just one little shop) he ordered tons of the stuff, which lasted about 10 years, and he has never lived it down.

Not automatically, although if you try to spend more than your limit, we will automatically review it.

There are three ways to get your credit limit raised at Williams & Co.

1) You can go on a mighty quest across the desert wastes of Hampshire, through the dark forests of Sussex, deep into the secret caves of Kent, defeat the dragon of Croydon in single combat and bring us his legendary golden scrotum.

2) Seduce one of the girls in credit control. This is considerably harder than 1).

3) Pay your bill on time for a few months, and then ask nicely.

Not sure at the moment, but my best guess would be

Baxi HEA to reduce in price, but loose the freebie. Overall effect probably a slight increase. May be subject to a "while stocks last"

Vogue, probably no change, although again may have a limited amount of stock.

Logic plus is still the subject of negotiation. My best guess is that the free flue offer will stop - I don't think it was ever part of their game plan to have it run concurrently with the 7 yr warranty. There may be room for some aggressive discounting on the 24kw model, depending on how badly they want the remaining ECO volumes.

No promises on any of this. I will sign off the next book on 20th dec, and there are often last minute changes.

Unfortunately we can rarely find a price advantage - margins on Worcester are paper thin, and unlike the other manufacturers, they virtually never do deals.

The bricks and mortar branches shut at lunchtime on Xmas eve. We then run an emergency service on the non-bank holiday week days, from 9am to 12noon, in about half the branches - we usually pair them up, so if Bognor is open this year, Littlehampton will be closed and vice versa next year.

Fareham will be open from 9am to 12pm every non-bank holiday week-day. I'll check with the carriers what days they ship and post it here during the coming few days.

Our preferred carrier (Asprays) - last collection date Friday 20th for delivery Monday 23rd. Next delivery date after that is 2nd Jan (3rd Jan in Scotland).

We still have the option to ship with TNT who will collect on Monday 23rd for delivery 24th, and also offer delivery on 30th and 31st Dec. However, our experience of TNT is that its a 50/50 shout whether they deliver it on the correct day, at any time of year, let alone over Xmas, so if your order is time-sensitive, please place it by mid afternoon on Friday 20th. 🙂

The bag depends on the individual manufacturers - as they produce a new book we just put it in. However, we know that the bags can linger as customers make a decision, so we are relaxed about honouring a list that is a few weeks old.
