I still laugh when I think of a guy employed by his firm to reroof a house.
Apparently he had got on well when the owners arrived late in the day and asked him what he was doing.
Right house number, but wrong street.

Said it before here

Fitted boiler in wrong house

That one there has made me feel a lot better, at least my mistake is only going to cost me £150 ish but then I also made more than that on the materials I am not even losing any labour as I added an extra day on just I case the materials didn't come in time.

fitted a fire today dead easy I thought until the chair brick was made out of that insulation material I had to punch a hole in it thread copper tube in hold the inset fire thread the wire around the tube thread the fire which was bigger than the opening and draw the wire tight took twice as long as expected so im glad to read im not the only one but next time I will tap the chair brick to make sure its solid

My favourite is taking the trap off of a basin then tipping it into said basin!!

Usually do that when the customer is standing chatting to me!

I've done that as well but not on a grandee combi.

It was the quickest pump head change I've ever done, I did however spend the next hour moping up with my apprentice laughing his head off and the customer not looking particularly happy lol.

This weekends stupid mistake was trying to plaster my sons room, I don't think I did a bad job but I am knackered now!

Never get distracted by the customer regardless of how little she is wearing.

Isolated water at the valve right infront of me then removed the pipe on the incoming side !

Suddenly the smiley flirty lady wasn`t such a lady !

I think I only ever tip something down an untrapped sink when the customer is watching too, probably do it once a month if not more 😉
